How Many Acoustic Wall Panels Do I Need?

If you are planning a feature wall, media wall, bedroom wall or office upgrade, the first question is usually simple: how many acoustic wall panels do I need? The answer depends on your wall width, wall height and whether you are using full-height slatted panels or 60 x 60cm acoustic panel packs.
Step 1: Measure the wall
Measure the full width and height of the area you want to cover. If there are sockets, skirting boards, windows or a TV bracket, measure those separately so you know where cuts may be needed. For most London homes, customers are covering one feature wall rather than every wall in the room.
Step 2: Check the panel size
Full-height acoustic slatted wall panels are usually used for floor-to-ceiling feature walls and media walls. Our 60 x 60cm 3D acoustic wall panel packs cover 1.44 square metres per pack because each pack includes four panels.
Step 3: Use a simple calculation
For square metre coverage, multiply wall width by wall height. For example, a wall that is 3m wide and 2.4m high is 7.2 square metres. If you are using 60 x 60cm packs, divide the wall area by 1.44 to estimate the number of packs. Always allow a little extra for cuts, offcuts and pattern matching.
Step 4: Choose samples before a full room
Colour changes a lot depending on lighting, flooring and furniture. We recommend ordering acoustic wall panel samples before committing to a full wall, especially if you are comparing walnut, oak, grey, dark oak or black panels.
