How to Install Wall Panels | Step-by-Step UK Guide

Measure and inspect the wall
Record the finished width and height at several points because walls and ceilings are rarely perfectly square. Mark sockets, switches, skirting and cornice. The substrate must be dry, sound and clean; repair loose plaster or recurring damp before covering it.
Dry-plan every cut
Set out the panels on the floor and decide where the first and last slats will land. Measure twice around sockets and use tools suitable for the timber, MDF and felt layers. Wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection and support the panel throughout each cut.
Fix, align and finish
Use an adhesive or mechanical fixing specified for both the panel and wall. Check the first panel with a level, maintain the designed spacing and press each section consistently. Finish exposed edges with the appropriate trim and leave electrical alterations to a qualified electrician.
