Buy Flexible Fluted or Reeded Wood Panels in Anerley

A rounded counter front and a broad feature wall ask different things of a wood panel. If you are buying flexible fluted panels for an Anerley interior, decide how the profile should read at normal viewing distance before choosing a finish. A photograph of one small section is useful, but it does not show the rhythm across a complete installation.

Compare the two profiles, not just their names

Our flexible oak fluted design and oak reeded alternative are separate products. The latter is described as mini fluted. Ask for current close-up photographs showing their faces and edges together, or enquire about samples of those exact profiles. Do not assume a generic oak sample represents both shapes.

Use a simple comparison brief: will the surface be viewed from across the room, at a desk, or while someone walks past? Add the direction of nearby lighting. This gives the supplier a more useful basis for discussing the visible pattern than asking which panel is best.

What to establish about a curve

The listings describe flexible backing and curved applications, but they do not provide a minimum bending radius. Flexibility is therefore not permission to wrap any shape. Before placing an order, send a dimensioned sketch identifying the tightest part of your curve and ask for written suitability confirmation.

  • For a column, provide its diameter and the height being covered.
  • For a counter, include a plan view showing straight sections and rounded ends.
  • For an inside curve, identify that orientation explicitly rather than relying on a front photograph.
  • Show where the first and last profiles will meet, including any visible joint.

Price the set and the cutting plan separately

Both linked oak products are listed as two-panel sets, each panel nominally 240cm by 60cm. Their displayed set price was £166.80 when checked on 13 September 2026. Treat that as a product-price reference, with the live checkout controlling your order.

A shallow counter may leave reusable lengths, but reuse depends on grain direction, the chosen profile and the cuts required. Ask your fitter to mark the intended pieces before converting the design into set quantities. Do not count every offcut as usable stock.
